Marcell Cassanova

Feel Good Music Group recording artist Marcell Cassanova, also known as "Talent", is a multi-talented and versatile singer, producer, and songwriter. 

Born in Atlanta and raised in Houston, Texas, music has been an integral part of his everyday life. At the age of 16, he began writing songs that would later be featured on major commercial releases. He pursued his passion for music into college and soon became fully immersed in the art of music, performing under the alias "Talent". Through local networking, he connected with other aspiring recording artists and after several years of actively recording, he made his official solo debut with "Hidden Talents" under KMJ Records. Shortly after, he collaborated in a group called MLM and released their first single, "When We Swang" featuring Houston RnB/Hip Hop legend Billy Cook.

In 2019, Marcell made the official transition to using his full name, Marcell Cassanova, and released his debut project in the southern soul genre titled ‘Southern Love’. The lead single "Country", featuring appearances by New Cupid and Jeter Jones, quickly gained undeniable momentum. This hit single earned Marcell 3 ZBT Award nominations in 2019 and the 2020 ZBT Award for Best Collaboration. DJs and listeners have embraced it, and with its award-winning line dance choreography, it is set to make a significant impact in the genre.

Marcell followed up with Southern Love 2, a 10-song project released on Valentine's Day 2020, featuring the grooves "Rock With Me" and "Mr. Right", co-written by Charles 'Kizzo' Kizzee, along with the high-energy DJ favorite, "Overtime", written by Kizzo and produced by Christyle Trakz. With a growing line dance of its own, "Rock With Me" is following in the footsteps of "Country", as it is nominated for a Blues Award and two Jackson Music Awards, including Best Recording by a Single Artist and Record of the Year. The sequel project is already receiving strong reviews and is on track to surpass its predecessor.

Riding the momentum, the new southern soul phenom made his first collaborative effort on the Feel Good Music Group label with the supergroup Soul Southern and their debut album ‘Soul Out’. The project made a major splash with the track "Trail Ride (Blueprint Mix)" featuring Itz Karma, Johnny James, and RnB Pooh. The album also features the latest fan favorite, Marcell's lead single "Quit My Job", which is already a highlight of the artist’s live performances.
